Ryan Moore Lands in Dubai for Super Saturday Card

Ryan MooreRyan Moore whose has just finished a successful stint in Hong Kong, is set for his first rides of the year in Dubai this week when he will partner headline acts Sole Power and Keen Ice on Meydan's Super Saturday card.

Moore, regarded by many as one of the world's finest Flat jockeys, has spent the last six weeks riding on the Hong Kong circuit and partnered 14 winners from 107 mounts.

That strike-rate puts him in front of many local riders and only the all-conquering Joao Moreira has won more prize-money this season than Moore, who shone on the nation's biggest day when landing the Longines Hong Kong Mile and Longines Hong Kong Vase on Maurice and Highland Reel at Sha Tin in December.

The Moore roadshow now rolls on to Meydan when his three rides on Thursday include the smart Euro Charline in the Balanchine.

Successful on Gentildonna in the 2014 Dubai Sheema Classic and what is now the Dubai Turf on Presvis in 2011, the 32-year-old is back aboard popular Irish-trained sprinter Sole Power in the Meydan Sprint on Saturday, while he has also got the call-up in the third round of the Maktoum Challenge on Keen Ice, the only horse to beat US Triple Crown hero American Pharoah last year.

Moore, who has won two Derbys, a Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, Melbourne Cup, Japan Cup and eight Breeders' Cup races, also partners the Mike de Kock-trained pair Sanshaawes in the Dubai City of Gold and Prayer For Relief in the Jebel Hatta on Saturday's card, which is a trials night for the $30 million Dubai World Cup fixture on March 28.
