Rare White Thoroughbred Wins in Ohio

White Thoroughbred Takemetohollywood Breaks from the gateAfter a series of three straight second-place finishes at different distances and surfaces Takemetohollywood starred in a winning role at Belterra Park on Sunday.

The rare pure white Thoroughbred rated just off the pace in a one mile race and ran down the pacesetter Spaced Out late to win by ½ length.

Regular rider Perry Ouzts was in the saddle and was happily greeted back at the winner’s circle by his wife, Toni, who is the groom of Takemetohollywood.

The William Connelly trainee is out of the white Skip Away mare Spot of Beauty, a winner of one of five starts during her on-track career for earnings of $5,727. Spot of Beauty has had five foals, all of which are white. Two have started, and both have won for the same connections.

Both runners are sired by Devil His Due. Their dam, Spot of Beauty is a daughter of Patchen Beauty who won over the turf course here and granddaughter of the White foundation mare Precious Beauty.

Takemetohollywood and his full sister are owned and bred by Patchen Wilkes Farm, LLC who are legendary for producing horses of this rare color.
