Catching up with Wise Dan Trainer Charlie LoPresti

Horse Racing wise DanInterviewed by HRRN's Mike Pena, Trainer Charlie LoPresti talks about Wise Dan's recovery and potential plans for the 2015 season.

No one on Wise Dan's team -- including owner breeder Morton Fink who credits his two time Horse of the Year as the inspiration that keeps him going though various health challenges -- want the horse to train or race if he is not 100% explains LoPresti. The injury was first noticed following Wise Dan's win of the Shadwell Turf Mile in October 2014. After 7 months of healing, veterinarian Dr. Larry Bramlage has given the medical go ahead and LoPresti has started Wise Dan back into training.

LoPresti mentions several race options for 2015 including the Four Star Dave and the Woodbine Mile, which Wise Dan won back to back in 2012 and 2013.
